Responsible Use
Sotto is designed to help people listen, recall context, translate ideas, and communicate more clearly. It should augment your judgment—not misrepresent your knowledge, identity, or authority.
Good uses
- Recall approved product or project information during client calls.
- Get phrasing or translation support when working in a second language.
- Keep personal notes and generate follow-up questions.
- Use organization-approved knowledge during sales, support, consulting, or internal meetings.
- Practice interviews, presentations, or difficult conversations in simulations.
Uses that are not allowed
- Undisclosed or unauthorized assistance in exams, graded work, coding assessments, or interviews where outside help is prohibited.
- Recording or transcribing people without consent where consent is required.
- Misrepresenting credentials, experience, identity, intent, or authority.
- Submitting confidential, regulated, personal, or proprietary data without permission.
- Using capture controls to evade monitoring, proctoring, security, or compliance requirements.
- Harassment, fraud, discrimination, surveillance, or other unlawful conduct.
Private Presentation Mode
This mode is a presentation convenience, not an anti-detection guarantee. It uses public macOS controls and may not be honored by every sharing or recording path. Never use it to bypass a rule requiring disclosure or prohibiting assistance.
