Legal
Terms of Service
Sotto is beta software. It may be incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. Do not rely on it for emergency, medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions.
Acceptance and license
By downloading or using Sotto, you agree to these terms. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the beta on Macs you control for lawful personal or business purposes.
Responsible use
You must comply with applicable law and obtain required consent before capturing or transcribing a conversation or screen. You may not use Sotto to deceive, impersonate expertise, gain unauthorized assistance in an assessment, violate confidentiality, infringe intellectual property, bypass security controls, or violate an employer's, school's, client's, or platform's rules. Our Responsible Use Policy is part of these terms.
AI output
Generated suggestions can be wrong, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing output and deciding whether to use it. Sotto does not speak or make commitments on your behalf.
Third-party services
Managed inference and bring-your-own-key mode depend on third-party infrastructure and AI providers. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share.
Beta access and changes
The public beta is currently offered without charge. Usage allowances, features, compatibility, and availability may change or end. We may suspend access needed to protect users, infrastructure, or third parties.
Ownership and feedback
Sotto's original software, design, and branding remain owned by the beta operator or licensors. You retain ownership of content you provide. If you send feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation.
No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sotto is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, capture invisibility, or accuracy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sotto's operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from the beta. Any aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for Sotto during the twelve months before the claim; during the free beta, that amount is zero where such a limitation is permitted.
Termination and changes
You may stop using Sotto at any time. We may end beta access for misuse or discontinue the beta. Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions can be sent to the beta maintainer; do not post sensitive information.
